I have a obsession for things stolen from boys (this of course, comes as no surprise). Vintage Alfa Romeo convertibles are my favorite sports cars and one day, when I live in a city where a parking spot doesn’t cost as much as my rent, I will bring one back to life. These Alfa Romeo aviators have been on my wish list for quite some time and could trump a pair of my much yearned for Carrera’s any day. I found a beautiful pair in a vintage shop in Florence (Boutique Nadine, just below the Ponte Vecchio. Highly recommended. I still dream about the Uncle Sam red white and blue blazer but I digress) and last minute opted out of them in favor of a plane ticket to Paris (ah the good old days of study abroad). And while I definitely won out on that one, I’ve never been able to find a pair as unique or beautiful. Any vintage obsessed readers out there want to lend a hand?
grazie in advance. xx
Weekend Guide:
Over the past few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to work with my favorite young designer & her team and I am so excited to finally announce that the incredibly talented Ella Sven is launching her new line of redesigned vintage pieces at two events this weekend in Brooklyn. I’ve had a blast shooting Ella’s look book and am so excited for her to show off her amazing collection. From frothy tiers of vintage lace, to furs and fantastic accessories created from vintage baubles and broaches, her line is covetable and completely unique. Raiding nana’s closet never looked so good.
